From humble beginnings to a Sunshine Coast success story…
20 years ago Carly O’Donoghue established Stepping Out Podiatry’s first practice location in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Landsborough clinic opened in 2003, only operating 2 days per week at this young stage, and the makings of a community focused professional health care service slowly started to begin. Carly had a vision to build a business that puts service first, to bring a quality health service to the Hinterland community, and to provide patients with a feeling of being part of the Stepping Out Podiatry family as soon as they walked in the door.
Today Stepping Out Podiatry has made its mark on the Sunshine Coast with two main clinic locations: Landsborough and Kawana. Carly has also opened up within two medical centres to provide other convenient locations for the Sunshine Coast community; one in Beerwah and the other in Meridan Plains.
The team at Stepping Out Podiatry share this original vision and pride themselves on excellence in service We combine old fashion service with modern technological influences, and this is the basis of our success and our patients satisfaction.
Podiatry with a difference…our focus is your feet and we love what we do!
Hi I’m Carly – owner of this fantastic business and proud to have developed a business that focuses on service and helping people with their foot pain. I have seen Podiatry change over the last 20 years and I am confident that this change has been beneficial for Podiatrists and for patients, as we adopt new technologies and evidence based treatment techniques.
I manage the business together with my amazing administation team these days, however I still treat patients on a Tuesday, and also co-treat with the other Podiatrists. My work passions are gentle ingrown nail removals and custom orthotic designs. My passion outside work is hiking, and my favourite hikes so far have been 48km Kokoda Challenge and The 3 Capes in Tasmainia.
Howdy, I’m Jason and I have worked at Stepping Out Podiatry since 2012 – I’m like one of the pieces of furniture now!
I love it here as I meet so many interesting feet and people every day. I love to have a chat with my patients, and I’ll indulge you with insightful information about the world around us too– if you are up for a chat also!
I treat all foot conditions but am probably well known for getting great results with heel pain and prescribing the correct orthotic device so that it is comfortable from day 1.
My reputation has also grown with ingrown nail removal, as I have been experienced in this treatment for so many years I tend to be able to remove them painlessly. Great news for ingrown nail sufferers!
Hi I’m Mia and you can catch me at either the Landsborough or Beerwah clinics!
My passion in podiatry is providing a holistic approach to treatment, no matter what the foot problem. I enjoy providing the most up to date biomechanical treatments to patients, but also believe health education is very important to improve patient outcomes.
I love my job because I can help people in many ways become pain free and improve their mobility, function and quality of life!
Hi everyone I’m Kellie. I’ve been practicing podiatry for 10 years on the Sunshine Coast. You will find me at the Kawana and Landsborough clinics on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
I enjoy all aspects of podiatry but have a keen interest in Partial Nail Avulsions (nail surgeries) and paediatric patients. I love connecting with my patients and creating a strong relationship that last through the years. If you are a hiker or walker I am the lady to see if you are having trouble with blisters or the right shoe to fit your foot.
Outside of work, my family and I thrive for warm sunny beach days, surfing, spending plenty of time in the water, going on bush walks and catching up with friends and family. I have lived on the Sunshine Coast my whole life and can’t think of anywhere I would rather be.
